If we go into a big game with only Ox, Henderson and Jones in midfield then yes, it could get embarrassing. But with either of Fabinho or Thiago in there, it would be a completely different story. Even Keita and we looked much better.

No, there's no reason to think the money wasn't there.  Klopp chose not to strengthen CM because he already had 8.

Brighton played very well.  Dominated the midfield, and looked dangerous all game.  In games like this, where the better midfielders are out, we get to see how much Henderson is carried by them.  Then when Firmino plays to his usual level, it’s easy to see how we can struggle to beat we’ll set up teams who aren’t afraid to go after our weak spots.
