Two people seem to have been shot and neither were actors. This doesn’t look like an accident.

A film director and DoP. So I'd assume he was aiming toward the camera.

If the camera shot requires a point of view facing the shooter (not uncommon in action movies) then, to quote Spock in Wrath Of Khan, it would explain a great many things.

Tragic event. Many people think 'blanks' from prop guns used on tv or films just make a 'bang' noise and not that they're stuffed with wadding, essentially to keep the gunpowder in the cartridge and a small cap to make the gun look realistic, if a revolver, in close ups.

The stuff still comes out of the barrel at several hundred miles an hour. Fatalities usually happen when the cap and wadding hits near the temple on the side of the head. Sadly a few actors have been fatally injured this way.

RIP to the lady taken too soon.

It's fucking bonkers that they still use that method. Hopefully they start using their fucking brains now instead of blowing them out.

What the fuck are untrained people doing fucking about with actual guns? Anyone whose shot one knows just how ridiculous it is the thought of people pissing about with them.

But nothing ever happens. Or at least almost never. The Crow was what, almost 30 years ago. Tens of thousands of films must have been made around the world since using guns without any incidents. I think more people died in various stunts or production related traffic accidents.

Seen this on Facebook so could well be bollocks...

Is that in reference to this incident, or the accidental death of Brandon Lee, a couple decades ago?

Was just thinking about that, and how stupid it is that they haven't developed techniques to "fire" guns on movie sets without this ever happening again.
