Not all of them in my favourite movies of all time, just movies that I really enjoy and feel I can watch over and over.

- Jaws (This is one of my favourite movies of all time)

- Starship Troopers

- One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

- The Martian (This has always surprised me - Matt Damon annoys me but i really enjoy this movie and I don’t know why)

- Boogie Nights

EDIT - Wee change to include a massive favourite

Watching the martian now, love this film.

I'd add "Midnight Run" and "The Seekers" (speaking of John Wayne).

Yeah, Starship Troopers deserves special mention: I don't know if it's a masterpiece, or drivel, but if it comes on, I watch it.

I laugh every time.

I mentioned Starship Troopers in the films to watch when pissed thread. It's just a very watchable b-movie.

I think Starship troopers is a satirical masterpiece, I think Verhoven basically made the type of film a future fascist society would create; the vaunting of military prowess, citizenship through military service, removal of sex replaced with human athletic aesthetics, the endless propaganda, the managed opposition, othering of foreign enemies that you initiated a war with, gratuitous violence, the imbecilic attractive lead characters.

Reviewers didn't really get it at the time, but in a post Iraq war context it's incredibly on the nose.
