I think you need to work some other variables into your formula. Players of each generation can be compared by how they rank against their peers and also need to figure overall league trends. 

LFC today scores about 30% more goals than they did even 20 years ago. In the 1970's the league was won with teams that scored in the mid 60's for the season. LFC probably averaged in the mid 60's for that entire spell. The average for the league since has about the same increase.

 

So 30 golas in 2021 is really 20 in comparison, probably closer to 18 in the early - mid 70's.
