Guardiola's still too clever by half. Jesus would have buried either of Grealish or De Bruyne's chances in the first half if they'd played him as the striker he is. 

 

Foden's an excellent footballer. Was hoping it was all just hype. Great that they spent £100m on something similar rather than focusing on replacing Aguero.

 

De Bruyne looks very sluggish at this stage. I wonder if injuries have taken their toll. Was really wasteful in possession and got lucky with Matip's deflection for the goal.

We dodged a bullet really . I think there was every chance the game ends 1-1 even if Milner had gone . I would have backed Klopp to see the game out

Despite hating Silva , I can't believe the little rat was that desperate to get Milner sent off that he landed flat on his face and could easily have done his neck in. BGJ deliberately tripped him and was lucky not be sent off , but it wasn't anywhere near the worst decision you will see on any PL weekend and didn't deserve the amateur histrionics from the weirdo.

Milner has just held his ground there - dramatically so, for effect I would say. He didn't move for about 3 seconds.
