Didnt watch the game again due to BT fucking up my internet.

Great work by the lads and justified Jurgen's decision to go strong. 6 points and a +5 goal difference sets us up for the double header against Atleti.

Still some to go and loads of people in the media writing us off before a ball was kicked in this 'group of death.' Dont ley anyone tell you this has turned out an easy group, what is it, 15 European Champions titles between the clubs?

For Roger.

Suarez scored a pen with the last kick of the game

It was a shit pen, looked like he was trying a panenka and fucked it up, luckily for him the goalie had already dived out of the way. Dodgy penalty to be awarded too, typical of Atletico the cunts.

Excellent result, Jones was great. I think alot of the teams that are dominant in the less wealthy leagues struggle against teams playing with 3 forwards in Europe as it must virtually never happen domestically.

Pity Milan couldn't hold on as that gang of shysters would have actually had to come out and attack/attempt to play some football.

Hard to say anything negative after a resounding 5-1 win, especially as the players played very well, but we really need to start being more precise in the final third. Porto offered barely anything - not defensively solid (understanding if they are mising a few players back there), neither attacking nor defensive in midfield, and little cutting edge up front. We took them to the cleaners but we should have been well clear long before we were.

Still, 6 points from six and on to the toughest fixtures in the group. About time we got the better of Atletico.

The old styles make fights saying springs to mind and Porto are just perfect for us...they aren't very physical, don't really have any pace and they don't defend deeply in numbers.....all the things we sometimes struggle with they are just no good at.

Tailor made for us.

But all that said we were still good tonight, and it was good to see Jones running the show and looking like he has been doing it at this level for years....good to see Robbo looking sharper as well after a bit of a ropey start to this season....and the forwards all knocked in a few goals (Jota aside) which helps with their confidence ahead of Sunday.

3 more pts in group....sitting top, hopefully no more injury problems - all good.
