Didn't he throw a tricolour on the floor once? Might have been a nothing story in the end but I remember a bit of a commotion over it. Also, didn't he say he'd represent GB not Ireland in the Olympics? Not that it matters, they get the choice don't they?

He could have played for either team, I think. But there's an all-Ireland element to golf as well as rugby, cricket, hockey, boxing, etc. So, I think that was part of the story initially...

He's said everything at one stage and changed his mind. Could only play for Ireland, would play for Britain, didn't care about the Olympics, loves the Olympics, the ryder cup is just an exhibition, the ryder cup is the best event ever. He's probably a decent fella who just hasn't had anyone tell him he's a gobshite for far too long. Classic example of living in a bubble, he wouldn't last 2 minutes on here.
