The Reds stormed to the top of the Premier League table after a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Julian Richards and Ian Brown to go over the major talking points from the game, as Mo Salah stole the show, James Milner came in at the last minute and did what James Milner does and 'Captain Marmite' Naby Keita came off the bench to score a worldy in front of the Kop.

Also under discussion is Mo's contract situation, Konate's debut performance how much defensive rotation should we expect to see this season.

The big games this season are the 6 games (5 now) against City, Man United and Chelsea.

If we get at least 8 points in those games, we just need an average of 2.4 ppg in the remaining 28 games to reach over 90 points. I think that is very achievable for us. We look as if we can beat all but the big hitters and I think we will hit 90 points plus for the 3rd time in 4 seasons.

In that time, 119 games, we won 2.4 ppg. Take out the 14 games in the middle of last season where we lost 10 and it rises to over 2.5. Why on earth do pundits believe that we are suddenly going to start dropping points, especially at home, when we went 3 years with a near perfect record?

This might even be better than the 30 year wait if we win this one

The media are still writing us off. Seeing stuff like 'chelsea show their title credential' after beating spurs 3-0 today. Bit of a joke really.

They did show their title credentials though didn’t they? I think we’re potentially being damned by faint praise, but they look the real deal and are the emerging side, so journalists have every right to write them up. I’m hoping the scum can be the spanner in the works for them and Citeh, and not for us.

What, after a couple of games of the season and beating a poor Spurs side 3-0 is 'showing title credentials' now?

Fuck me, I can remember when we were 18 points ahead of everyone a couple of seasons ago and plenty on here were saying we werent champions elect!

In fairness, Chelsea are the European Champions so I'm fine with them being talked up. City are being massively over-rated as are United, but it's the way we've been largely dismissed as an afterthought that's annoying me more than the salivating over the others.

Correct. Chelsea are very tight at the back and look as if they can score every game.

City without a proper reliable goalscorer will have games like Southampton and Spurs where then can't score which have and will cost them.

United have played 6 games this season and been poor in 3 of them (Wolves, Southampton and YB) and while the better team yesterday they were lucky in the end.

Chelsea are the danger
