Norwich (A) - CC 3rd Rnd, Tue 21st Sep 2021 (7:45pm)

Recommended Posts

Overall a good performance considering the number of young lads in the team tonight. I remember the days when everyone and I mean everyone, was creaming themselves over the arsenal youngsters performances in the domestic cups. Some of those lads tonight are not much older than babies.

Into the next round is all you can ask.

3 efforts on target 3 goals - clinical.

Some confidence boosting for Minamino and a couple of others and some needed minutes for a few.

No injuries.

A couple of kids introduced to 1st team action.

In next round.

All OK.

Meanwhile, the Bloos have failed to beat formidable opposition of QPR in 90 minutes, and go to penalties, with QPR having won their last 3 penalty shootouts.

The right back's older than he looks, Road Trip came out years ago.

I was disapponted with a couple of the senior players tbh. Moreton looks a prospect

Thought all three debuts did really well tbh. Wasn't convinced by Morton in the summer, but he looked really good today, guess him and Clarkson were competing for the same position.

There were a couple of games last season when Div and Taki had chances to impress and they utterly failed to take it. They both did alright tonight.

More of that, please.

We saw that scoring a goal at the weekend did fuck all for Keita's confidence or effectiveness. Let's hope two for Minamino will be far more productive.

We did what we had to, getting through to the next round whilst giving first-team squad members some more minutes in their legs, and the youngsters a bit of experience. On we go.

Thought he looked better in midfield today - the team definitely did.

Tyler Morton looks a very tidy player, appreciate it’s Norwich but still, good half from him.

I agree. Wasn’t really tested defensively but he looked good on the ball.

Good game. Minamino is looking sharp. The fans were amazing, noisy feckers all night, great stuff.

I was quietly impressed with Morton. He made himself available and looked very sharp when he got it.

Draw is tomorrow after the mancs game.

We'll be away against a Prem side, City home to the weakest team in the draw.

Liverpool's domestic cup draws since the start of 2017/18.

13 of 16 ties against PL opposition, 10 of 16 away from home.

And what makes it all the more staggering is those draws are all in the early rounds.

Pre-match post of the night on the match thread on The Pinkun (that’s the Norwich forum to you cunts - and no, I’ve no idea why it’s named The Pinkun).

Can’t imagine Mini Me will pose any physical threat.
