Dislocation with ligament strain, 6-8 weeks.

That'd be incredible if he's back in 2 months.

Probably give more ammo to the "it wasn't a red card tackle" brigade.

Think it's going under the radar how good we've looked since the season started especially with regards to the back 4. Van Dijk looks like hasn't been away and we've conceded 1 goal in 4 games and fairly comfortable in all games bar the first half against Chelsea.

They've said he needs surgery though? Hope its right, but seems quick

Is that confirmed anywhere? It's a real best case scenario if it is.

3 clean sheets from 4 and only 1 goal conceded is title winning form,if extrapolated over 38 games. There is a long way to go but we've started about as well as we could have.

Would love to know what Klopp said to the supporter(s) behind the dugout.

I hope he was getting phone numbers; there were a couple of fit lasses there.

Aye.

It's amazing how good you look when you have a world class 'keeper, 4 world class defenders, 2 world class midfielders, and 2 world class forwards available.

Comparing it to the shitshow that was last season!

There is no fucking way he's back in 8 weeks after that. He's not even had surgery yet, no one on the street would know. Best case would be 3-4 months

6-8 weeks was the absolute best case scenario if it was 'just' a dislocation. Given that the club (https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/443139-harvey-elliott-update) have already confirmed he will have surgery in the coming weeks, he's got to be out for a fair while longer, unfortunately.

I think I read - and I could be wrong - that for dislocations on professional athletes exploratory surgery to get a better assessment of the damage is helpful, once the swelling subsides. Hope that's true and the case here.

I’m seeing 3-4 months but that’s random Twitter screenshots on WhatsApp so I’m not claiming any credible source. I’d be surprised if it was 6-8 weeks. That’s super quick.

According to a bit in the Daily Wail "expert sports surgeon and Liverpool fan, Mike Hennessey, said the rapid response of the club's medical team will aid Elliott's recovery and he should be back on the pitch in six months."

I think you can forget 6 to 8 weeks.

I can’t see us conceding more than 20 goals this season. Getting strong 18/19 vibes off this season.

If we keep Matip and VVD fit you might well be right. They are unreal together. Matip has been world class so far this season.
