You know what I mean,his bail was extended last month. Its obviously going to effect teams making a move for him. Paying 40/50ml for a player who could be facing a serial assault charge

To be fair, he has scored twice as many goals as Origi has in the top flight, being a 1 in 3 player, whereas Origi is 1 in 5. You can argue about whether it's easier to score for Burnley or us.

Wood plays every game for Burnley when fit, I'd wager if Origi plays in his place he scores more.

Possibly, though i think people are forgetting how dreadful Origi has been at times, given he has done well this season.

 

I know they have stats men to look at more than just goals, but if youre in Newcastles position, it doesnt surprise me that they spend on the player who has actually scored more and has the better return, rather than gambling on Origi who may or may not improve his goal return playing more regularly and being the main man.

Have a look back at the reaction to us being linked with him last summer, it wasn't very positive as I recall.

£25M is peanuts to Newcastle, not a huge amount in today's market, and if he keeps them up (big if, i know) at the expense of Burnley then it will be money well spent.

He would certainly appear better value than solanke. Although I fully expect him to fail.
