Wonder if we’ve dropped moneyball from our transfer strategy. Having seen the film, you would’ve thought we’d be all over Dembele otherwise.

300k a week Dembele?

The problem with moneyball is you have to first get it, in order to play it...

Who cares? Comoli made an absolute hash of transfers. We've a far better backroom staff in place now and Ive no doubt we use analytics to identify our targets and probably do it better than almost any club.

city and chelsea just throw money indiscriminantly at transfers. Lots of trumpet blowing about city buying the next big thing from South America for £17m. They are probably the only ones in for him prepared to pay that upfront while not disclosing any 'add ons.'

chelsea bid for that trouble maker dembele at Barcelona when they have plenty of attacking option.

Rumours it’s off because EFL don’t do deal sheets like the PL.

You sure?

A deal sheet is an application to the Premier League or EFL which stipulates a transfer has been agreed between two clubs and the player in question’s representatives, if approved clubs then receive an extension to the transfer deadline in order to complete administrative details.

These extension may be utilised in the final two hours of the transfer window, which affords clubs an additional two hours to dot the Is and cross the Ts on the acquisition of a player.

Should a club apply for an extension beyond the 11pm deadline, the transfer will fall through as the Premier League or EFL’s Board must receive the deal sheet prior to when the window would ordinarily have shut.
