There was a time around the turn of the century he was just unbearable, culminating in that Katie Holmes fiasco.

 

Luckily he’s around anywhere near as much these days. 
 

I like some of his films. Minority Report & Collateral are probably my favourite. The Mission Impossible films are up and down, 2 & 3 were poor but the rest have been entertaining enough. 
 

I’ve not seen much of his 80’s output. Like quite a few 80’s film, I feel unless you saw them at the time or in your youth, they don’t hold the same appeal these days. I felt Top Gun was Ok, can’t really say more than that.
