Here is a timeline of the 12-minute gun attack:

• At 6.11pm on Thursday, Jake Davison, dressed in black, bursts into a house in Biddick Drive, Plymouth, and opens fire on a female relative with what is believed to be a legally held pump-action shotgun.
• Police receive multiple calls that shots have been fired at the address. Police, including armed officers, are scrambled to the scene. They arrive at 6.17pm.
• After leaving the relative’s house, Davison walks back out on to Biddick Drive and shoots dead a three-year-old girl and her male relative. He also shoots and injures a man and a woman, who receive significant and life-changing injuries.
• Davison then begins walking through a narrow park where he shoots dead a man.
• Davison emerges from the park on to another residential road, Henderson Place. He turns left and shoots a woman close to a hair salon named Blush. According to some witnesses, she had just walked out of the salon.
• The gunman then turns his weapon on himself, killing himself at 6.23pm as armed offices close in on him. It is not clear if he knew any of the six people he shot outdoors, but he is not believed to have been related to any of them.

I watched his video, I read the transcripts, I read this, the autism suggestion, the lack of mental health support, and I feel sad.  For his victims, but also for him, and for YouTube celeb society. 

He wasn't in a good place, probably bullied to fuck all his adolescent life, I bet the 'bants' on the site where he operated the crane were chronic.  

 

He doesn't seem like an evil cunt to me. He seems like a peek under the covers of thousands of similar stories but with one difference, he had a gun.

I think the whole thing is tragic too, obviously for all of the victims but for him included. I read this a bit ago on the Guardian :

..and I was like, ok it's terrorism, evil, incel, misogynist, etc, but is that it? Do we just leave this at the end there and feel glad that we're clear it's terrorism? How about we go back to the start? The bit about "very high levels of mental health issues." Because if we're going to ever do anything about reducing and/or getting as close as possible to ending all of this it looks like support groups for guys that are anywhere near close to this state at a local and national level are going to be needed. Otherwise we do nothing to solve any of it and end up reduced to calling these people whatever we feel is suitable after more lives have been lost. Is that all we're capable of? Calling them stuff after reading about more killings? I really hope not because that means that all future victims are doomed too.

If things weren't so backwards in this country I'd like to imagine that after a certain amount of these videos there'd have been some type of contact from a group offering to help this guy out. Not just some monitoring from some government anti-terrorism group, but some actual offer of real help. I don't know exactly what type of help that could be but I'd like to think that as a species we could collectively set up groups that are well able to answer that.

 

And this shouldn't just be for "incel" males, it should be about about every type of problem that can lead to terrorism. Without people feeling like they're reduced to having nothing else viable in the states they're in it could be that with genuine effort from all sides the roots of so much of this could be cleared up.

 

Maybe one of the real problems though is that so many governments across the world are so busy funding and profiting off terrorism instead of truly going at the root of it, and/or enriching themselves and their mates at the same time as we read about cuts to so many areas that instead need funding, so instead we repeatedly end up reading about events like this after it became too late.

 

Even if you look at something else like "yob culture" or whatever the fuck they call it, why is the response so often about being "tough on crime" instead of investing to support these people so they have other stuff to turn to instead? Probably the same answer at the end of the day, a select few enriching themselves and their mates, or as we sometimes hear/read : "socialism for the rich." Oh and repeatedly expanding the security state so we're one step closer to 1984 too. Great solutions.
