Yorkshire's great, lived there for 6 years but we all know it is very much the wrong side of the Pennines

As the late great Jim Morrison said, the west is the best

I have much respect for people who live the other side of the hills. It must be difficult to keep up with the neighbours.

I love North Yorkshire, the history, the scenery, just a lovely place.

we used to have a caravan up there, and were there most weekends and school holidays from March to September. Had to give it up unfortunately.

I envy anybody lucky enough to actually live there.

I’ve shared this before but my Dad was interviewed as a possible suspect in the Ripper case.

It wasn’t him.

Did he also love banging prostitutes?

Anyway, I also live in Yorkshire. It’s alright. I hate going to a gig and the crowd chanting “Yorkshire, Yorkshire”.

Great choice with Staithes, I love it there.

Sometimes gets a bit overlooked by the more celebrated Whitby and even Robin Hoods Bay but I think it’s got a special charm of its own.

Had a lovely family holiday there when I was but a young ferret.
