Terrible stuff,yet the US hired some of the cheating fuckers behind these schemes.

It was more for sprinters and so strength. Not sure the Soviets, GDR etc., were too concerned with hiding the doping as it was pretty much a state-sponsored exercise. The Americans had just as many athletes on steroids in truth, it just wasn't an official policy unlike in the 'east' and hidden behind a vehement criticism of doping whilst turning a complete blind eye to what they knew was happening in their own back yard. As you say though mate, terrible stuff.
