I see this is going just brilliantly so far, with the exception of Adam Peaty, who is this country's finest athlete in any discipline by an absolute distance.

They're going to have to mint some turd brown medals especially for us.

The BBC putting out those films about Jade Jones and Helen Glover earlier in the week was always going to be a winner

I love the opportunity to watch sports for the first time in 4 (5) years and become an instant expert dispensing advice with accompanying expletives , to guys and girls whose whole lives revolve around these sports. Reckon I could have got the Doncaster lad a gold medal in the Taekwando with a time out as his coach just sat there in a coma while he was far too aggressive when ahead with 7 seconds left.

Yeah, he fucked it. I saw at least three opportunities for a knee in the bollocks which he missed as well.

Taekwondo seems like a bit of a lottery anyway. The lead changed hands so much in that final round it was like pass the parcel, gold medal goes to whoever's leading when the music stops.

They never seem to score for both if they hit at the same time and it's a bit like a scrap outside a pub at times.

To my eternal shame I started wanting the Swiss girl to beat our bronze medallist as ahe was a bit of a honey.

Was that not the judo?

Couldnt concentrate on the taekwondo because of the Scots co-commentator who seemed to be competing in the Accidental Partridge Olympics

Just watched the Triathlon, fuck me that looks gruelling. The Brit Yee got 2nd and looked a bit gutted, the winner threw up shortly after winning.

Watched that myself. It looked horrendously tough. The Norwegian bloke had it won miles from home. He spewed and a Hungarian fella who finished about 7th literally collapsed/crumpled over the finish line.

Fuck that!

Good to see the Team GB competitors accepting their silver and bronze medals and realising that it’s a great achievement and not disrespectfully whipping them off as soon as they are around their necks as we’ve seen other sportsmen do recently
