I don't think it was a foul. Strong tackle, the Southampton player wanted it more and Fernandes tried his usual throw himself on the floor and squeal like a pig routine.

It's a foul last year but football is still a contact sport and I think if you stand waiting for the contact to go down to get a cheap free kick in a defensively vulnerable area, as Fernandes was clearly doing, you are asking for trouble.
