Anyone else watch that Bilbao - Barca match just now?

I caught the last 20 minutes. Barcelona look TERRIBLE. I think they had fewer than 10 shots the whole game, the commentator said, and at least while I was watching it was Frenkie DeJong and maybe Memphis and a bunch of just absolute rubbish around them. That new boy, Eric Garcia that they made such an effort to get off City ... well, let's just say, there's a reason City didn't pay out for a new contract. He gave away the ball as the last man and then had to cynically hack down Williams when he was through on goal.

Drew 1-1 in the end. I think it's safe to say they're not a threat for the CL this season unless they catch lightning in a bottle somehow or unless this game was a complete anomaly. On this form I'd fancy Everton or Brighton to give them a real game.

After I confidently predicted Spurs would get something v Man City last week, I'm going to go out even further on a limb and say Arsenal will get something off Chelsea today.

Granted, my thinking on this involves Arsenal not being a complete set of bed wetting shit houses, so there is an immediate flaw in my thinking, but if Arsenal don't come out fired up today after last week and having supporters back in a big derby, they might as well disband.

Just watched what appeared to be a training video showing how City score 99% of their goals from wide players pulling the ball across the six yard box. The generic opposition pretending they had never noticed this happening before had a sort of Norwich kit on.

We were laughing about this in the pub after our game yesterday.

When Sterling scored we all joke we don't even need to see it to know what it was like - cut back and Sterling will pass it in from about a yard into an empty net. And then low and behold, thats exactly what it was.

Be careful. You’ll ruin the image that us Yorkshire folk are dour, humourless and lacking any kind of people skills. It’s taken centuries to cultivate that, so don’t be ruining it with your stories of top quality bantz.

Last Of The Summer Wine did enough damage.

I was sat in a flat cap, wellies and drinking a Tetley's while I said it.
