United were completely lethargic before he signed their fan base too. Hes not at the level of VVD but United weren't at the level of Liverpool at the point each joined. VVD was like a finishing jigsaw piece for us where as Fernandes has become a starting piece for them. Uniteds biggest issue is they are a 10 to 12 year olds jigsaw set and ole has 3-4 years old capabilities.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. It often seems to be the case that a promoted team which surpassed expectations by a long way ends up cratering dramatically.
