Well us winning last 2 however narrowly and them dropping pts v villa is maybe not as far fetched as us somehow pulling back half a dozen goal diff over last 2 games with us both winning last game.

So yeah it is a long shot - but not totally dead yet.

People praising West Ham's effort and "having a go", the only reason they're in the game is because City are playing with one centre back.

Who cares? City have spent a gazillion quid, it's negligence on their part that they're so thin on the ground.

I don’t think things are changed that much by a draw vs a win, right? I mean, I guess we ‘could’ have overturned the goal difference but unlikely. Both scenarios left us need to win both and Aston Villa to get something from the game. Fucking hell. Squeaky bum time is right.

Shame Villa are an abomination made of shit

Er...that was ace. We're still alive in the title race, just about.

Win both our games + Coutinho 94th minute equaliser from a 40 yard freekick.

Ha, just send my dad this:

"Coutinho to bang one in from 30 yards and Villa to hold on for a draw (I'm trying to talk myself into it)."

My point is more that no team in this league except us and Spurs can beat them on merit. They have to be crippled at the back, and even then, West Ham tried to give them the game.

I’ll take that.

City are still red hot favourites. But, win our games and they’ve got to win on the last day. They probably will do. But, they looked shaky, first half, and vulnerable to direct balls into the channels throughout the whole game.

The pressure on the final day can do anything. Just make it so they have to go right to the line to win it.

We need to win both games and hope Villa take something.

We live to fight enough day.

Part of me thinks, like the CL & Madrid, the amount of times they’ve let us back in there is going to be some drama next week.

And being pipped by them on the last day 3 times would be disappointing.

But I just can’t see the prospect of Gerrard doing us a favour just too romantic.

Still, we’ve a job to do Tuesday night first, win that and the pressure in the last day will be intense.

Wolves played against the same defence. It’s about attitude.

The attitude of bottling a 2 goal lead at home, giving up a comedy own goal and a terrible penalty that they were lucky City missed? Sure, great attitude.

Palace took 4 points off them and Southampton got two draws to be fair and they were at their full compliment then. You would love to see more teams have a go at them but they're perfectly set up to control games, their goalkeeper is a better passer than most midfielders in the league ffs. If Ederson or Rodri were missing, then you would see real vulnerability. We won a few games last season with Fabinho and Henderson in central defence because we were good enough to get away with it, even if only for a little while.

Didn't Palace beat a full strength City team at the Etihad?

Edit - Already mentioned above.
