City are still big favourites in my book, because their run in is easy as fuck, whereas, as well as them away, we’ve got a trip to Arsenal and home games against the other Mancs and Spurs, both of whom are capable of raising their game (the latter in particular).

Not writing us off by any means, but I suspect it’s going to be absolutely essential that we don’t drop points in more than a single game, excluding the trip to the Etihad where a win is essential.

You thought City were favourites when we were 12 points clear at the top 2 years ago

Long way to go still.  With the 'rona on the rise, an outbreak could easily knock them out of their stride and the same applies to us.  Factor in the FA Cup and Champions League fixture pile-ups and it's hard to predict the outcome.

The league could very well come down to who we both get drawn in the cups seeing as the fixtures are so close to when we play them.

Hopefully we get Everton/Palace in the FA Cup while they have Chelsea.

We get Ajax in the Champions league while they have Bayern.

I want to see Peps head explode.

We win the quad after being 14 points behind City in the league in February, Abramovich gets fucked out of Chelsea,  Everton get relegated, Manchester United qualify for the European Conference.

Fuckit, this could potentially be the greatest season of all time. If Carlsberg did football seasons...

A glimmer.

Technically it is in both sides hands.

Imagine what might have been had late Dec/Jan been fair!

It actually gives us a small bit of breathing space. If we were to win at their place, we could still afford to drop two points in another game, assuming they're still winning every game (which I don't think they will anyway).

And fair fucks to Palace. They've been one of the few clubs to consistently stand up to Manchester City over the last three or four seasons.

Since 2018/19, City have beaten them four times, but they've beaten them twice and drawn twice.

Palace have very much been a thorn in their side.

As for the title race - they are obviously in the driving seat still, but is now a lot more of a race than it was.

All we can do is keep winning football matches and see where that takes us....90 plus again is the absolute minimum ask!

They can't handle pressure, especially from us.

“Pep Guardiola in heated exchange with Vicente Guaita after Man City suffer title blow

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had a frank exchange of views with Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita after his side lost ground in the Premier League title race”  - multiple reports

BUT! in the alternative universe of the Guardian- “Grealish might have lost the head temporarily, but his manager maintains a calm demeanour. He goes over to have a word with his compatriot, Palace keeper Vicente Guaita. A pat and a smile by way of congratulation. Apart from one spill in the first half, Guaita was magnificent. That’s a lovely sporting touch from Pep, given his side - so dominant, yet unable to force a breakthrough - have just dropped a couple of precious points in what is now officially a Title Race™.

    What a fucking rat.

And Foden’s gormless, expressionless, grid behind him. He looks like the Big Caboose in Futurama.

It's good that they're thinking about us.

I was expecting the worst going into the last 10 minutes of the Palace game last night I was convinced City would find a way to win - feels like a big moment in the title race - looking back on it as well seeing how frustrated DeBryune was at his own teammates at the end and the way Pep went onto the pitch having a moan was great to see. Bernardo bringing us up the interview when the interviewer didnt even ask him directly about us.

They look well and truly rattled.

Its vital we make it count tomorrow night.
