He just doesn't have it anymore, that was obvious to me when he decided to go to China for what should have been one last payday. Instead he comes back to take on the most inexplicable job possible. He will be gone from Everton soon and I hope Rafa retires or goes to someplace that doesn't have such a deluded, bitter and hateful fanbase. For some reason, since leaving us too many of the clubs he's gone to have fans exactly of this type (the BS are definitely the worst though).

He was on a hiding to nothing taking it on . He would get all sorts of abuse at any club that had spent big and had a large fanbase wanting an overnight miracle given their results. The Liverpool connection just gives them a convenient excuse to blame Rafa , I dont think he has lost it , he just never found it at Everton.

I think the day of older managers who stay aloof from the players is disappearing. Think the future is younger , hands-on , tactically-aware guys or slightly older ones with trophies to back them and who can establish a rapport with the players.
