The Intouchables is the highest rated film out of all of these and the 5th highest rated in the decade overall. It makes sense it would come in 9th out of 11 in the first round.

An excellent point, well made.

 

There were many incredible foreign language films nominated but hardly any that made the cut, I imagine for the same reasons.

I went to the flicks late at night to see It Follows when it came out. Fucking great film. Really unsettling. I voted for it!
