Ben Davies (Sheffield United) - Full 90 for Ben as the Blades fell to a 2-0 defeat at Middlesbrough.

Rhys Williams (Swansea) - Not in the matchday squad for Swansea's 3-1 defeat at Fulham.

Leighton Clarkson (Blackburn Rovers) - Came off the bench in the 79th minute of Blackburn's 3-2 defeat away at Huddersfield.

Sheyi Ojo (Millwall) - Replaced in the 73rd minute as Millwall picked up all 3 points with a 1-0 home win over Bristol City.

Its a shame about Rhys Williams his career seems to have stalled after some promise.

He's missed the last couple of games due to injury but had started 3 of the 4 games prior to this injury.

Superficial overview for the last fortnight:-

Sheyi Ojo : Still a first team regular for Millwall, hasn’t been scapegoated for their inconsistent form or even his personal lack of goals; created the equaliser in their eventual 2-1 win over in-form Stoke at the weekend.

Leighton Clarkson : Still on the fringes of the first team squad at Blackburn as Tony Mowbray searches for a reliably healthy and productive lineup. Got a surprise start at QPR last week, where Rovers struggled to get much of the ball, eventually losing 1-0.

Sepp van den Berg : First team ever-present for Preston in their ‘functional’ 3-5-2 formation without ever looking suited to his assigned role. A particular weakness is a failure to get close to opposition players as they look to cross, as seen in the buildup to the first goal for Blackpool last Saturday.

Rhys Williams : Basically in the wrong place. Given a few minutes off the bench as Swansea looked to see out a win at home to West Brom, but he isn’t suited to the left side of a back three, and I expect the loan to be cancelled in the winter.

Ben Woodburn : Regularly starting for surprise package Hearts; a quiet game against Rangers was followed by a better one against Dundee, where he was credited with an assist for his short pass leading to their opening goal in the 1-1 draw. Subbed at half time after being booked.

Adam Lewis : Still injured.

Jake Cain : Gradually earning a regular position for Newport, coinciding with the arrival of new manager Wayne Hatswell. Well-received performance at Bristol Rovers included the cross for the first goal in the 3-1 win.

Luis Longstaff : Not playing regularly, which is probably down to Queens Park topping their division. Followed up his goal off the bench in the 3-0 win at Dumbarton with 90 minutes in a sedentary position as the Hampden Park side blew a 3-2 lead in injury time against Alloa.

Paul Glatzel : Not used since the Papa Johns game against Salford in the international break, where he got just over an hour in the 2-0 win. Played for our Under-23s against Arsenal at Anfield, scoring for us. This loan hasn’t worked and should be terminated.

Jacob Ojrzynski : Not the best spell for the Polish keeper; returned from unsuccessful international duty with the Under-19s, then lost a penalty shootout in the Welsh Cup to Pen-Y-Bont NO SHIT THATS A REAL TEAM NAME which included him having his own penalty saved, and then losing the next league game 1-0.

Vitezslav Jaros  : In contrast, our other keeper is having a much better time of it, as

St. Patrick’s clinched a Cup Final place by beating Dundalk 3-1 on Friday, then followed up last night with a 1-0 league win over the same opposition which solidifies their grip on second place. It’s been a long time since any of our players won anything while on loan.

Anderson Arroyo : Now a regular at centre-back for Mirandes. A couple of defeats for them recently, including a thrashing at the hands of table-topping Almería last Sunday. Probably not entirely his fault.

Not sure it's a good sign van Den Berg is being used as a wing back. It's good for his technical development but when a 6 foot 4 centre back is being used there, you have to ask if it's because he can't handle the fight in the middle of defense. Will be fun to watch if he plays tomorrow.

According to Lijnders' interview he is.

Apologies for not having updated this thread in a while - my current shift pattern is very lopsided, meaning for 3 weeks of every month I only get 36-48 hours off between sets of 12-hour shifts, and then in the 4th week, I get 8 days off (which I am on now). I'm not able to watch as many youth games either due to the shift pattern, so that's why I've been missing on that thread, though AiG has that covered anyway.

Thank you to AiG for the update in this thread. I will get an update posted on Monday after this weekend's round of fixtures. (I'll also get round to updating my spreadsheet - not sure if I'll continue this, but will see).

The same applies to the prospects thread that I had started - I've got a fair amount of catchup to do on there too, so will look to knock that out early next week.

Vitezslav Jaros (St. Pat's) - Played 5 games since my last update. 4 in the league and the semi-final of the FAI Cup in which he helped St. Pat's progress to the final where they will play Bohemians. Kept 1 clean sheet in those 5 games.

Jakub Ojrzynski (Caernarfon Town) - 3 games played for the big Pole. 2 in the league and 1 in the cup. Kept 1 clean sheet and that was in the 0-0 draw against Penybont - Caernarfon would lose on penalties with Jakub saving the first Penybont penalty in the shootout.

Sepp van den Berg (Preston) - Played every minute of every game for Preston since the last update, including the full game against ourselves in the League Cup. As with the League Cup game, his last outing against Luton was as 1 of 3 centre-halves rather than at right wing-back where he's played for the majority of the season.

Ben Davies (Sheffield United) - 4 complete games for Ben as the Blades continue their inconsistent league campaign.

Rhys Williams (Swansea City) - Only involved in 2 of the last 4 matchday squads for Swansea, and just 4 minutes off the bench for the young centre-back.

Adam Lewis (Livingston) - No involvement for Adam in the last 4 games due to injury.

Anderson Arroyo (CD Mirandes) - Played every minute of the 5 league games that Mirandes have played since my last update. Continues to be played at centre-back according to FlashScore.

Leighton Clarkson (Blackburn) - Involved in all 4 matchday squads for Blackburn, but only appeared in 1 game of the 4. Played the full 90 in the 1-0 defeat at QPR and was an unused sub for the other 3 games.

Jake Cain (Newport County) - County have played 5 games since my last update with Jake taking advantage of recent suspensions to get some good game time in. Played the full 90 in the last 2 league games, grabbing an assist against Bristol Rovers along the way. Featured for 87 minutes in the EFL Trophy defeat at home to Arsenal's under 21s. Also came off the bench for 4 minutes in a 2-2 draw at Exeter.

Ben Woodburn (Hearts) - Ben has been involved in all 4 fixtures for Hearts. Starting twice before being replaced, and coming off the bench twice. Grabbed an assist in a 1-1 draw with Dundee before he was replaced at half-time.

Sheyi Ojo (Millwall) - 4 starts, including just 1 full 90. 1 assist in the 4 appearances for Sheyi.

Paul Glatzel (Tranmere Rovers) - Involved in the last 2 matchday squads for Tranmere, though just 1 appearance from the bench, at the start of the second half in the 2-0 defeat against Mansfield at the weekend, but had missed out on the 3 league games prior. Did get a start in Tranmere's 2-0 win over Salford in the EFL Trophy at the start of October. Had also returned to play for our 23s against Arsenal at Anfield where he grabbed himself a goal.

Luis Longstaff (Queen's Park) - Got a full 90 minutes in the Challenge Cup defeat against Kilmarnock at the beginning of October. Been in the matchday squad for the 3 league games since. Only 2 appearances from the bench in those 3 league games, playing just 9 minutes in the last game against Cove Rangers. He did however manage to grab his first goal in senior football 3 minutes after coming off the bench in the 76th minute against Dumbarton.

There will be a proper overview of the post - international break at some point, but congratulations to Vitezslav Jaros for winning the FAI Cup Final with St. Patrick's Athletic in a penalty shootout ( 4-3) after the match finished 1-1 after extra time .

Was at the game and he was the best passer on the pitch. He also pulled off a brilliant stop at the end of extra time to deny Bohs the winner.

Going to have to make my updates a monthly thing, so here's the update for November for those out on loan.

Vitezslav Jaros (St. Pat's) - Since the last update, St. Pat's have played 3 league games and 1 cup game. Jaros played in 2 of the final 3 league games, keeping 1 clean sheet in the process as St. Pat's ended their league campaign finishing second in the table, 16 points behind winners Shamrock Rovers. However, St. Pat's would finish the season on a high with a penalty shoot-out victory over Bohs to win the FAI Cup with Jaros playing a major part in their victory with 2 important saves deep into extra time.

Vit's loan spell at St. Pat's has now ended and he will return to the club until January at least - I would expect him to go out on loan for the second half of the season.

He finishes his loan spell with the following stats:

League - 34 appearances (34 starts); 38 goals conceded and 11 clean sheets.

Cup - 5 appearances (5 starts); 3 goals conceded and 2 clean sheets.

Overall, a very good loan spell for the young Czech keeper who has made quite the impression during the season for St. Pat's.

Jakub Ojrzynski (Caernarfon Town) - 3 games for Jakub since the last update, 2 wins and a loss with the young Polish stopper keeping 1 clean sheet in the 3 games as Caernarforn continue to be an inconsistent side this season.

Sepp van den Berg (Preston) - Played every minute of the 5 games that Preston have played since the last update (2 wins, 1 draw & 2 losses). Looks like Sepp has been moved into the back 3 as the right-sided centre-back after having started the season as the first choice right wingback.

Ben Davies (Sheffield United) - After missing the first 2 games of November with an injury, Ben has returned to the Sheffield United starting lineup and has played every minute of the last 3 games during the month as the Blades are slowly showing signs of getting their season on track.

Rhys Williams (Swansea City) - Still tough for Rhys to find game time in South Wales, featuring in the matchday squad in just 3 of the 5 games in November, and being an unused sub in 2 of those 3 games. He did however get the full 90 last time out in the 3-2 defeat to Reading. His situation will likely be evaluated in the next few weeks.

Adam Lewis (Livingston) - Just 2 games for Livi in November, but Adam continues to struggle with injury and has not featured for a while now.

Anderson Arroyo (CD Mirandes) - Totally different story for Anderson who continues to be a regular for Mirandes, playing every minute of the 5 games played in November. Their form has dropped recently and are starting to fall down the table, so hopefully, this will not impact Anderson's future game time.

Leighton Clarkson (Blackburn) - Another youngster finding game time tricky to come by this month. Despite featuring in the matchday squad for all 5 fixtures this month, Leighton has made just 1 appearance from the bench, as a 67th-minute sub in the 1-1 draw at Bristol City.

Jake Cain (Newport County) - Young Jake continues to get game time for Newport, mostly from the bench. In the 6 games that Newport have played this month, Jake started the FA Cup defeat at Morecombe before being replaced in the 77th minute. He didn't feature in the squad for the EFL Trophy defeat at Swindon and has come off the bench in 3 of 4 league games played this month, although was an unused sub in the most recent fixture.

Ben Woodburn (Hearts) - 3 games for Hearts this month, with Ben starting twice before being replaced in the second half of each game. An unused sub this past weekend though. Ben grabbed a brace in the first of November's fixtures for Hearts in a 5-2 home win against Dundee United.

Sheyi Ojo (Millwall) - Sheyi looks to have dropped down the pecking order during November. Started the month as an unused sub before making appearances from the bench for the next 3 games, totalling ~50 minutes during those appearances. He did, however, start the game at the weekend before being replaced in the 72nd minute.

Paul Glatzel (Tranmere Rovers) - An encouraging month for Glatzel despite starting the month as an unused sub in the FA Cup win at Crawley. Paul would turn in a man of the match performance in Tranmere's next fixture, a 3-2 victory over Oldham in the EFL Trophy, as he helped himself to a brace and an assist as he played the full 90 minutes. Next up was an appearance from the bench in a 1-0 defeat to Sutton before featuring for the full 90 in Tranmere's last 2 fixtures, a 2-2 draw at Bristol Rovers where Paul bagged himself another goal and assist, followed by a 2-1 win over Bradford at the weekend with Paul grabbing the winning goal to end his most productive month of the loan spell so far.

Luis Longstaff (Queen's Park) - A mixed bag for Luis this month. 2 appearances from the bench and 2 starts before being replaced. The 2 starts came in the last 2 league fixtures prior to the weekend's Scottish Cup defeat to SPFL side Kilmarnock, so perhaps Luis will feature a little more in the league going forward.

Leighton Clarkson's loan deal at Blackburn has been ended early after a mutual agreement between all parties.

Rovers Offal

It will be interesting to see if we try and send him out somewhere else in January or if we'll see him around the first-team squad while we're a few players light this month.

Obviously, if he makes an appearance for the first team during January, he'll not be able to play for another club this season, so will remain with us for the remainder of the campaign.

I'll get a full update for December posted tomorrow.

Liverpool defender Rhys Williams has been recalled from his loan spell with Swansea City.

The centre-back featured on seven occasions during his time at the Championship team after making the move on transfer deadline day last August.

Williams, who played 19 senior games for the Reds in the last campaign as he helped Jürgen Klopp’s side secure Champions League qualification, had also signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool before joining Swansea.

Vitezslav Jaros joins Notts County on loan

Liverpool goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros has joined Notts County on a loan deal until the end of the season, writes Chris Shaw.

The 20-year-old links up with the National League side after recently returning from a nine-month spell with St Patrick’s Athletic, where he lifted the FAI Cup and was named the club’s Player of the Year.

The Czech, who moved to the Reds from Slavia Prague in 2017 and was an FA Youth Cup winner two years later, signed a new long-term contract with the Reds in the summer of 2020.

Notts County are currently eighth in the National League – six points off top with two games in hand – and are next in action when they travel to Bromley on Saturday.
