The tech is the same isn’t it? Just scanning off a phone or piece of paper rather than a card.

Yeah, but if people don't print them out then they are trying to put their phone in at weird angles? Only thing I can think of. Had that issue at the rugby before, sometimes people think it's like a gig where there's someone with a hand-scanner and then try to post their phone through instead.

That'll be with the app scanner, so surely more to do with linking to your phone than reading a QR/barcode.

 

Fingers cross this is mainly an issue with the halfway house solution of print at home tix, rather than the NFC stuff.
