I can't get my head around the fact that, despite spending more time indoors and having Netflix and Amazon on tap, I've seen a lot less films in recent years than from the 80s and 90s. Anyway...

Midsommar

Interstellar

Legend

Knives Out

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood

Super 8

The Autopsy of Jane Doe

Bladerunner 2049

Sinister

10 Cloverfield Lane

Once Upon a Time rep.

I expected The Fighter to be nominated.

Yeah me too. Cracking film.

A bit left field but there's a movie called Upgrade which is brilliant from this era, should have nominated it myself.

Dark Water is hokey horror film from 2005.

Dark Waters is the one you mean. With Mark Ruffalo. Pedantic I know but it could get confusing!

Again, it looks like most of my nominations won’t make the tournament. Bastards!

What are you crying about, half of them are already in. Even Midnight in Paris is in. It should have been Blue Jasmine.

Same.

It's almost as if most of the Star Wars virgins and superhero nerds have zero taste.

There's a handful of superhero films nominated, and no Star Wars films yet (I will certainly be nominating the excellent, gritty Rogue One).

Four, isn’t it?

Midnight in Paris is a wonderful film.

The Tree of Life, which is one of the best films of the 00s, should be in the tournament. Carol should be in too, though I didn’t expect it to make it.
