Weakest group of the round. Gran Torino and Dead Mans Shoes for me. There Will Be Blood started great but just didn't seem to go anywhere, it just got mental.

Weakest group? This is one of the strongest so far. Some great films here.

Apocalypto, the only film from the group I remember enjoying and Gran Torino, which isn't really good but is less annoying than others that I've seen.

Didn't see the German film, Dead Man's Shoes and I think Moon.

There Will Be Blood I remember thinking this film is only about how great an actor DDL is, and the other one too, look, look.

The Lives of Others is a brilliant film and it would show massive ignorance if it didn't go through because 'It's in a foreign language' or 'I don't like subtitles.' A forum full of Union Jack shagging Brexiteers would be the only ones not to get it through to the next round.

That's certainly an interesting way of approaching things.

'I've never seen that so it must be shite'.

I disagree with you on virtually everything but when it comes to films our tastes are very similar

I’m a Coen Brothers fan. In my opinion, O Brother, Where Art Thou? is one of their best films. Shaun of the Dead, which I remember being pretty enjoyable. I’ve not seen the rest.

I've never got the massive love in for Dead Mans Shoes.  It's a decent movie, but that's all.  It seems to live off one or two "hard man revenge" moments that people all show the videos of.  I do love Paddy Considine though. He's excellent.

I went with There will be blood and Shaun of the Dead.  But I could easily have gone with Oh Brother and Gran Torino.  Good group.

Really? I'd never noticed. Beans? I'm a bit gutted to read that Rem.
