I am trying to find as much classic Dr Who in 1080p as possible. I have tried the usual trackers (RARBG) but cannot find much

 

Anyone got any suggestions?

I don't, but there's a ton of old Dr Who on Britbox and you can get a 30 day free trial at the moment- maybe worth a shout if you're not bothered about actually physically having the files?

Is there much point to downloading it in 1080p when the original picture quality isn't great to begin with?

Yes...many have been remastered into 1080p etc

Its upscaled, it's not that good. My brother bought me one of the blu ray seasons (Davison's 1st) and its really not much of a step up from the remastered DVD's.  The source material wasn't filmed in high definition so there is only so much you can so.
