Groundhog day is fucking brilliant. A great concept and brilliantly done, it didn't even suffer from Andi MacDowell's character.

I still use the line it 'reminds me of Rome, when the sun hits the buildings'.

The Matrix remains the best experience I've ever had in the cinema

Ditto. Exhilarating, thought provoking, ground breaking. And all the more exciting as it wasn’t given a massive publicity buildup, it almost snuck in under the radar. All the hype that summer was about the Phantom Menace.

The Matrix as it's the greatest movie experience I've ever had, I was completely blown away by it.

I can’t stand The Matrix, probably the most bored I’ve ever been at the pictures.

Opinions, eh!

I am not a fan of Keanu Reeves or action style sci fi so I've never seen The Matrix and never will.

Have you seen/liked any of their other films (by the brother sisters W)?

It is not primarily an action style sci-fi and Keanu was ideal choice for this.

Which other films?

They did Bound before Matrix which was a pretty good thriller (wrote the script for Stallone vehicle The Assassins which wasn't, but that was their break) I think they wrote the script for V for Vendetta and directed Cloud Atlas (didn't see it).

They also have some TV show they are doing with David Mitchell ( the CA writer) and American-Bosnian writer Aleksandar Hemon which is supposed to be good. Their stuff is a bit more ambitious than your standard action sci-fi. Not that is much wrong with good action sci-fi.

V for Vendetta was good in that it was sort of a 'graphic novel' if I remember correctly. Stallone? No thanks and never heard of the others.

I thought Matrix was decent, with some good action and an interesting storyline. I know all the bullet-tme and action sequences were pretty revolutionary but it didn't blow my mind. Keaunu Reeves isn't one of my favourites either.

It was enjoyable but was missing that je ne sais quoi to make it a classic
