there’s a place on this forum for this content, though. It’s just on this occasion it’s done with no subtlety and feels a bit basic and in your face, which yeah you could choose to ignore, but that’s a bit like the lads at the police firearms training centre putting nudie calendars up on the wall and getting pissed off and telling them to get over it when the female staff objected.

Good post. However, I couldn’t disagree more with the last bit. Stig’s tournaments are one of the main reasons I visit the GF as often as I do. They have provided a welcome distraction during some really shit times, continue to be good fun and create some decent discussion.

My saying that seeing the thread made me feel like leaving, it did because I’d got comfortable in a place where threads like this one seemed to have receded into history and I didn’t have to think about them and the complicated feelings they provoke.

 

That said, I’ve been around for a long time and although maybe I don’t spend as much time on here as I used to there’s a lot to like about it and I’m not going to say I’m leaving when I know I’m not.

 

And, whatever you might think, I’m not so much offended by the posting of NSFW pics as jolted out of my complacency that ‘we’re all the same and like minded’ when clearly that’s not the case at all.

 

So, I guess the threads remain and I’ll forget again that I’m very much the minority on here
