John Cross in the Mirror gave Martinelli man of the match in his match report. He must have watched a different match to the rest of us.

He also gave five Arsenal players 8 out of 10,with the rest 7 out of 10, whilst only four of players were given 7 out of 10, with two given 5 out of 10, and the rest 6 out of 10. Next to those scores were the match stats which showed we had more possession, completed more passes, had more corners and more shots on target. Just showed his Arsenal bias.

Just showed Arsenal needs to be at the top of their game to match a middling performance from us.

I don't think he gets anywhere near enough credit, for me he's been the top defender in the league this season. The injuries have for sure been annoying and I questioned myself after the Derby as that was bad but on the whole, when fit and playing like this season, he's immense.

Definitely not, even on here you had people who thought he was shite.

I think a bit of the frustration was understandable because it's obvious that he should be a top, top top defender.

He's absolutely huge, fast, strong and not a donkey with the ball. His qualities have always screamed world class defender but when his form was dipping or he wasn't fit enough, it felt like he was becoming overrated.

He had a poor few months at the back end of last season to be fair and he rightly lost his spot to Quansah. But he reacted brilliantly, no bitching and trying to force a move, just work his arse off and snatched his place back the first chance he got.

He's got the hardest job in European football imo, playing as our RCB and often being left completely exposed 1 on 1 vs wingers and having to do what no CB wants to do and defend wide

If it turns out he's got a broken arm. Surely he'll be able to play in a cast?

I guess he's alright, guess he's alright,

I guess he's doing fine, guess he's doing fine.

Ibou Virg and Grav have been head and shoulders above every player in the league.

No surprise with Van Dijk, but Slot has to take huge credit for the centrality of the other two to our success this season.

Mad to think this is all with another manager’s squad too, many of whom looked a bit jaded with it all by last May.

Will be very interesting to see the type of player he brings in, assuming we get back to the whole buying players thing at some stage.
