I suggest you watch again. Tsimikas goes on his holidays and loses a he`der which sends Pulisic into most odf the pitch behind him.

As he approaches the goal Konate is torn between trying to narrow the angle for Pulisic and cutting out the pass across the area to Morata unmarked in the middle. He's trying to do both but it left a bit too much of a gap for Pulisic to get a shot away.

No way you can put that on Konate.

I watched it three or four times on Tuesday night & thought Konate should have went to close Pulisic down, he basically stood aside & let him score. He could have covered the ball to Morata by doing that too.

Most defenders will hedge that from a pretty narrow angle, their keeper will save it, if the alternative is not leaving people totally free in the middle of the penalty area. There were a bunch of Milan players in the area.

Well if that was me defending, Pulisic would have been lying in a heap & the ball would have been somewhere in Milan city centre.

Not that it matters an awful lot as the game should have finished about 7-1 to us.

I thought it Tsmiskas was at fault. Went for a ball he was never getting and Pulisec ran in straight behind.

Ibou was on a hiding go nothing, go to the ball and leave somebody for a tap in, stay where he was and hope Alisson bails everyone out, which is his job.

Not sure Ibou can be blamed, I thought he had an excellent game.

The main fault lies with Tsimikas, he was never getting to that ball and probably knew it the moment he set off. Regarding Konate, Pulisic did a neat little move which he fell for where he split second stops, gives the eyes to pass and Konate stops at the moment he would probably have gone all in on him.

Mate, if that was you defending you'd have been lying on the ground, halfway between the area and centre circle, comletely gassed out.....

C'mon man, I've got a good six minutes of running about in me before I'm breathing out my arse.

Been fantastic ever since stepping in against Ipswich, barely put a foot wrong.

There’s a few players we need to ensure stay fit and healthy all season long if we want to challenge, he’s one of them.

Also under Arne’s style of calmness on and off the ball, should help him with not making any rash tackles and giving needless fouls away.

This

If he comes across to Pulisic there was a easy pass for a simple goal. That goal was on both Tsmiskas and Virg gambling they could win the ball high up with no midfielders in place to cover. After Tsmiskas gambled and failed miserably Virg should have stated back. Mac Allister doesn't have the pace to get left trying to track back and cover mistakes like that.

I genuinely couldn't spot him when I was looking at the replays.  Positioning worthy of Moreno. I hope he's learned a few new Scottish swearwords since that match.

Tsimikas is almost always at fault. I still can't believe the tune Klopp got out of him. I think Slot is seeing his real level.

I don't think he gets anywhere near enough credit, for me he's been the top defender in the league this season. The injuries have for sure been annoying and I questioned myself after the Derby as that was bad but on the whole, when fit and playing like this season, he's immense.

I loved the way martinelli ran away from every confrontation. Even Arsenal fans made him motm.

John Cross in the Mirror gave Martinelli man of the match in his match report. He must have watched a different match to the rest of us.

He also gave five Arsenal players 8 out of 10,with the rest 7 out of 10, whilst only four of players were given 7 out of 10, with two given 5 out of 10, and the rest 6 out of 10. Next to those scores were the match stats which showed we had more possession, completed more passes, had more corners and more shots on target. Just showed his Arsenal bias.
