This is beyond ridiculous. Every single game we play at least 1 player is injured. Jurgen said the other day that they had a super late call from the medical team about Jota.

I am not sure whether the medical department are just ridiculously risk averse and have too much say, they are following the trends from this company to rigidly or have a bunch of players that are ridiculously injury prone.

Whatever it is, something has to give in the summer. How can you make so many changes every single game and expect to be competitive.

At least give yourself a fighting chance. No wonder Jurgen was talking about waiting to see who was fit.

Regardless of whether Konate is fit for tomorrow or not, i do feel there is something wrong at club....no other club seems to get as many injuries as us, the amount we get and the frequency of them.

There's a rumour that he's a doubt for tomorrow.

That's been interpreted as confirmation that he's definitely out.

Agreed. In any event professional players who dont play regularly frequently get muscle pulls and aches after a game. It grips my shits when I read stuff like 'how have we got another player injured?' especially when said player hasnt played in a while and are just coming back from an injury.

It's an occupational hazard for players. If people paid as much attention to chelsea, united, arsenal's injury list as they do ours, Im pretty certain overall, there wouldnt be much difference.

If he’s out it will be Gomez at CB and hopefully someone else than Milner at RB, maybe Tsimikas or Robbo.

We’ve a 4th choice centre back that’s a 40m player and definitely good enough to be at the club.

As usual the minute he’s needed, the truth comes out.

Huge blow if that’s the case. Either Fabinho or Phillips beside Van Dijk.

For me I'd go for Kostas at right back robbo at left..Kostas is 2 footed, no issue there, Gomez centre back.

Has Tsimikas ever played right back? - would be a big ask to ask him to do so if not done before v these especially.

I honestly think Gomez at RB and Phillips at centre half is our only real option if Konate is out.

You aim for the best in the league and I have to say I would be amazed if Citys or Arsenal's injuries are anywhere near ours.

The counter argument would be why play a player for 80 mins when he has just come back from a long injury. Especially with such a big game tomorrow.

Imagine Phillips against Haaland?

Henry vs Carra would look like an even contest in comparison.

I'd be interested in seeing Phillips up against Haaland, it would be a perverse sideshow to take my mind off the overall inevitability of our heavy loss.

523 formation

Alisson

Tsimikas(why risk Robbo)

Van Dijk

Phillips

Gomez

Milner

Fabinho

Bajcetic (just run around lad)

Salah

Nunez

Diaz
