Engerland play with zero spark, guile or creativity. Just like the world cup, they are completely dependent upon scruffy lucky goals and set pieces.

They're fucking shite.

Oh but "it's coming home"...

They are just waiting for a Gazza moment. Like Everton are still waiting for a Kevin Brock backpass moment.

Just come back from London and a good night out with the Jocks.  Funnily enough, non of the usual Ingerland cockney or Home Counties wankers were out tonight, maybe it was the rain.  Or more likely 50 years of shitting themselves whenever a few guys in skirts turn up.  Strange how those famous cockney Firms from the 80s would never travel to Hampden, but were always out in force in Luxembourg.  Shithouses.

England would be far better to get a draw with the Czechs and play one of Poland , Slovakia or Sweden rather than win and get Portugal or France , and luckily they have a manager who might just manage it.

Thought Scotland were the better side and deserved to win. England were abysmal, Kane is clearly not fit but the fact of the matter is that Southgate is a fucking atrocious manager. We have some very good players but we are run by a championship manager, things won’t improve until he’s fired into the sun.

A bit late to this, but I've just seen Cristiano Ronaldo moving the Coke bottles out of the way at the start of his presser and exhorting people to drink water instead - and for the first time ever I started to respect him.

I mean, he's still the same person that admitted (to his lawyers in a private email) that he raped a woman, then got his club to reschedule a preseason game in the US where the woman's lawyers were waiting with a subpoena should he travel there.

So I don't think you need to start respecting him TOO much, really.

Might have given too much of myself, tonight.

Voice is absolutely fucked after being in Leicester square and I was stupid enough to be wearing my suede trainers. Ruined.

The post match analysis has been that uniqueness that only England can produce.

"I am a man of good decency and diplomatic standing, is it correct to say that Southgate, who I love, committed a blunder on the scale of Tropoli by bringing Kane off? We now go live to Kane for his response".

It's almost as if Southgate wants to get sacked on purpose. Sancho and Bellingham, two players who have played in Germany and in the Champions League left on the bench while the rest of them go through slow motion aimless sideways passing.

Once they get knocked out they'll be back to battering San Marino, Albania, Kosovo and Bulgaria and qualify top of a piss easy group and everyone will get over excited again.

England are so fucking boring and predictable. The fucking fans are the biggest twats in the universe.

Or alternatively he's a sanctimonious piece of shit who advertises KFC so actually couldn't give a fuck about peoples health.

To be honest, I really don't see the point of any anti Coca Cola bollocks, it's not healthy, but it's not supposed to be. Absolutely fuck all wrong with it if you don't drink it constantly.

Yeah, but other than that what's he ever done wrong.

Southgate showed negativity when positivity was needed. Brought Grealish on, quite rightly, but takes Foden off when quite clearly it should have been Rice.

    • Good little article on Ipswich in the early 80s.

    • As Villareal aren't willing to throw the house out the window, I'll be amazed if FSG are.
Translation...   True to its policy of financial control, Villarreal does not want to lose its head when it comes to making its big bet in the transfer market this summer. The yellows are looking for an extreme that meets the needs that Unai Emery demands this season in order to face with greater guarantees a campaign with the demands of the one that lies ahead. But the truth is that the options that the yellows have tested exceed the current spending capacity of the Plana as a whole. And despite being willing to make a new effort after the signings of Foyth or Día, they are clear that they are not going to throw the house out the window and destabilize the club's accounts.   The Dutchman Arnaut Danjuma remains the first on the list of options handled by the yellow technical secretariat. But for his arrival to be a fact, Bournemauth, the club that owns his pass, should lower a requirement of around 25 million euros. A figure that the people of Castellón, by no means, intend to reach as shown by the initial offer made and that did not exceed 15 million.   It should be remembered that the two-time Dutch international arrived two summers ago to the English team after paying 16.5 million euros. And that his performances, especially this campaign where he has scored 15 goals and has distributed seven assists, have revalued him to the point that several Premier teams (among which Liverpool have sounded) have been interested in his services.   The general manager of the "Cherrie" team, Scott Parker, recently confirmed that he had ruled out offers for the footballer: "There is a possibility that" Arnie "will leave the club. It is well documented that there have been offers for him, and that they have been rejected. I sit here thinking that there is a possibility that Arnie will leave, but I also sit here knowing that if that offer is not the right offer, then he will stay and play a big role in what we do, "he said. The footballer has been injured throughout the preseason and, despite being already training, will not play the first league game that his team will play next weekend against West Brom.   Lack of sales conditions    The current economic situation has slowed down a market that, in other circumstances, could have come with important offers for Villarreal players. The campaign carried out by footballers such as Pedraza, Pau Torres or Gerard Moreno has not been translated, at least for the moment, by irrefutable proposals within the La Plana club. A circumstance that prevents large outlays after those already made.  At the time, the CEO of Villarreal, Roig Negueroles, already acknowledged to Marca that players like Guedes were "out of market capacity" for Villarreal. As in the case of the Portuguese and if there is no sale for important figures, the yellow team could look for new alternatives if the English team is planted in their demands.
