It’s the exact same sized competition and model as Italia ‘90 and a few other World Cups, I reckon. Overkill given that it’s just one continent. 16 teams would be ideal, 8 was a little small back in the day.

Gulacsi and Bogdan split the game for Hungary, funnily enough.

Unfortunately not as it seemed like a good game. We have a ‘nearly decent’ team at the moment so it’s a shame we’ve got the worst possible group - best we can hope for is that we embarrass one of the bigger teams

They’d be better coming 2nd and getting, likely, Poland, Sweden or Slovakia (assuming Spain win the group).

 

If they come 3rd, they’ll likely get Belgium.
