Cheeky get.  I was playing footy on the beach a couple of weeks ago.  With a ball.  I was like a racing snake.

Before or after Moses parted the sea mate?

I hope I'm not jinxing this, but I can't remember ever enjoying watching Italy playing, as much as I am now, and that's because I've also never seen them play at this intensity throughout a match. They've always bored their way through a game, either after scoring and then defending it for the remainder, or defending and waiting for the opportunity to nick it.

Just now, Anubis said:

Are we sure that’s Lukaku and not Benteke?

Lukaku looks like shite most of the time but he is pretty prolific.

It's Lukaku at Everton.

And it was the chance I thought Belgian would get and take on their way to a 3-2 win.

Probably not happening now.

I fancy Pickford to put one through his own net, miscuing a clearance from a short back pass from super sub Origi.

Or maybe David Fairclough.

Italy's striker is the same. Looks awful at times. Scores 30 goals a season.

Yeah I really like this Italian team. I'm not sure I've ever said that!

This Italian side is a good a unit as I've seen at any level, anywhere in recent times.

Brilliant team.

Chielini has always borne the look of a man who should be on a remote Sicilian farm feeding kidnapped policemen and judges to man-eating pigs.

That would have been a beautiful goal

That Spinazzola is reminding me of the Italy fullback in 06 Grosso

Hardly heard of him before this

Brilliant team.

They’re as well drilled as a club side. Mancini’s done a great job. They’re fantastic to watch too.

    • Yep. The really sad thing is how so many pundits and reporters appear (or act like they're) too young to remember old Dunky as the uber-thug that he was as a player, so whenever he pops up now in his little blue suit they all go 'Awwww' and talk about him like he's this adorable sporting treasure. It's profoundly disorientating to anyone with either a memory or access to YouTube.
    • No disrespect to Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary etc but I don't give a fuck about their economy, I'm more concerned with someone living on a sink estate in Britain and working for washers.
