Grealish in a nut-shell: get the ball, hold the ball, hope they foul him so he can take a free kick.

Alot of nutshells out there.

Sterling- one footed trying to win pens

Kane- Yet another average performance being excused for not being "himself"

Pickford- Saves some shots but unable to shake the fact he looks like a complete twat who decent forwards will slot past at ease

Shaw- Embarrassing price tag in comparison to his opposite number

Foden- Found out when not surrounded by world beaters

Southgate tactical masterclass there, to play two holding midfielders and use two full backs who were reluctant to get up the pitch. Every time Shaw and James got the ball out wide in the Scotland half, they just stopped dead and played the ball back to Rice or Phillips. That just makes the more forward-minded players have to keep dropping deep to get involved with the play, and there is no threat in behind the opposition because everything is being played in front of them. Considering the Scots were playing a midfielder in defence and a 5 year old in midfield, that is a damning indictment of the England manager's understanding of how to make things happen in games.

The Scots played to their limitations, and not much more. They didn't looked anything like as threatening as the commentators were suggesting, and they still haven't scored in this tournament, and they still need a win in their final game and to hope it's enough to be one of the best 3rd-placed teams. They usually fuck things up in that situation so they'll either get battered by the Croats or win 1-0 and finish with a negative goal difference to miss out on advancing to the next round.

That was obviously tactical from Southgate as both of them arn't afraid to get forward for their club sides.

Booing from fans is sad. People from Liverpool get stick when they say they're not arsed about England but just look and listen to the England crowd its like joining Rolfs cartoon club after he was arrested. The team I want to do well but the crap surrounding it not so much.

It was more than likely Scottish fans considering Kane was being interviewed

They're twats, can't think of a group of people I'd less want to be associated with than England fans. They're like man United fans in the sense they tend to be from obscure towns with shit footy teams, so it's their chance to "follow" a team to a meaningful tournament, but fundamentally They're probably only there to drink and slag people off. It's the man United of the world game.

They will never be in with a shout with Southgate in charge. The bloke hasnt got the balls to set up to attack. Rice should not even be out there just hyped up by the London press. Southgate may have made changes but he kept the same rigid formation and was happy to getvthe draw.
