Every movie either Scorsese or Coppola directed or Nicholson starred in during those ten years should be on the list.

Also not mentioned so far:

Animal House

Three Days of the Condor

Smokey and the Bandit

A Clockwork Orange

Last Tango in Paris

The Man Who Fell to Earth

Saturday Night Fever

Shaft

Patton

Young Frankenstein

I put Saturday Night Fever in but then went back and edited it for Kramer vs Kramer. It’s very difficult trying to pick 10. Such a good era of film making.

I think half of my nominations are from 1973 alone.

Play Misty For Me is an absolute classic. Clint was on fire in the 70s. Same as Nicholson and Pacino. I would’ve loved to have put Duel in as well. Spielberg’s first film with Dennis Weaver getting chased by that satanic truck driver you never see....

Duel is boss.

I had a provisional list of 25 films. That didn’t include personal favourites, such as Taxi Driver, that I knew would definitely receive enough nominations.

Films I left out: Kramer vs. Kramer, The Passenger, The Last Detail, Bang the Drum Slowly, The Day of the Jackal, Blue Collar, Fat City, The American Friend, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Robin Hood.

Hopefully mentioning that every single thing Scorsese directed is enough to get The Last Waltz in, cuz not a vote so far.

Would that count as a film though or a Docu film whatever they call it, its great anyway, I haven't seen the full length for years, y'all know the Doctor.

I think the decade needs dividing into two, far too many good movies

Kellys Heroes only has 1 vote (I think) and The Wanderers has zero (I'm horrified I didn't) so I might just re-do it by year.

I recorded The Driver the other night, not seen it so looking forward to that one.

The 70s really was the golden age of cinema.
