Shit coat the new Roma manager.

This was from Sky Italia this morning - finger on the pulse:

Maurizio Sarri remains Roma's preferred choice to replace under-pressure boss Paulo Fonseca in the summer, despite the Serie A club last talking with the former Chelsea, Juventus and Napoli manager in January.

The press in Italy hate him so could actually be quite entertaining only having to put up with him from such a distance.

I thought the press everywhere hate him barring here and Portugal.

Roma are nuts. He's fucking done. He will win the Europa Conference with them and big himself up as the only manager to win the three UEFA competitions and as the new Romulus.

Roma are the 8th best team in Italy (they'll finish below Sassuolo).

They've attracted a manager befitting.

Apparently Roma are unaware that for Mourinho 18 months is a lllooooooonnngggg time - the last lne is pure comedy gold:

Roma's chairman was struck by Mourinho's enthusiasm and motivation to embrace a long-term project such as this. Mourinho will be under less pressure than usual and will not have to deliver any silverware, at least not in the short term. He will have to turn young prospects into players capable of winning titles.

For two reasons.

One, Mourinho won't play anyone under the age of 37. And, two, they don't actually have any. Kluivert, perhaps, who for some reason they decided to loan out.

I would be amazed if he managed to last a season. The squad is atrocious and so is he.
