I used to love these games in the 1980’s, early 90’s. Scoreboard end with the Mancs in the seats behind. We didn’t always get a good result and there was much inappropriate behaviour, which definitely crossed the line at times, but the tension in the air was exciting, scary and exhilarating.

I thought they'd be 'up' for the shite at Anfield, especially given all that happened at the pit in the first derby....look at the performance they put in with all that from first game - timid, meek and lacking in any kind of fight.

That was unforgiveable in my book - it is the fucking derby and on top of it those shithouses ended VVD's season in first game, put Thiago on the shelf for months and we were robbed at death by VAR....

Reaction to all that?

Fuck all - just a spineless, rudderless, bollocksless surrender of an over 10 year unbeaten derby record and an over 20 year unbeaten home derby record.

So being 'up for it' is no given with this team right now.

With fans on the pitch and the team hotel still blocked it’s getting difficult to see how this game isn’t delayed, at the very least.

In the era of Covid the protestors on the pitch add another layer of difficulty, with the red zone inside the stadium being breached. That might create a problem for the club.
