Souness: Relationship between Liverpool fans and owners is irreparably damaged

Yes, FSG have messed up on this - but remember these are the owners that brought in Klopp, set up an excellent player recruitment scheme, redeveloped the stadium and financed a fancy new training complex. Recall the state we were in before they came. My own impression is that on the whole they have tried to do the best for the club - by their own lights .

There always seems to be some 'anti-Yank' sentiment just below the surface in the fan base. Maybe the legacy of Gillett and Hicks. The owners of the Spanish and Italian clubs are not Yanks are they. Nor are the owners of City and Chelsea.......

If they are forced to sell up, who do we think will take their place? Some Chinese consortium...

Well said John. Fred

I've just seen this thread is some how still kicking round. I've just had a few unreasonably strong beers, so I must be feeling generous. But I feel really sorry for souness at times. This thing is him desperate for fsg or anyone else just to suffer at our hands like he has. I know some can never forgive him and I completely understand why. But watching his joy despite all that of us winning the league last year kind of wiped it all away for me. I would like there to be a way he could be welcomed back into "the fold". Not at the expense of people who can't and don't want to deal with him, but I'd like to get to a point they can try to forgive and we can enjoy him as the legend he almost is.
