New Super League to Rival CL - 11 Clubs Sign Up

Clandestine. Devilish. Cross really enjoying himself.

If, what he is saying from the club’s perspective is true, I can see their logic.

Why should UEFA take such a share of the CL profits?

Why aren’t clubs consulted on FFP?

Why aren’t clubs consulted on international calendars?

On the back of the pandemic, clubs are taking all the risks & it doesn’t sound like UEFA are helping clubs.

Then take it away from UEFA, I don’t know the answer to this, does the Premiership make money? Does the same apply to them helping clubs? Are clubs benefiting from extra TV revenue?

If clubs want to get back in the black, it sounds like this break away is a sure fire short cut.

These clubs are all owned / backed by very successful business men / companies / oil Barron's if they've got this far in discussions then surely they have sponsorship and TV deals already lined up they won't risk it all with their domestic governing bodies without having a fall back in place.

All these fans saying let them go we’ll be better off without them are gonna be fucked when they’re getting £2m a year from the TV rights and even less from the sponsors.

Plus, every decent player they bring through will be desperate to leave as quick as they can to join this new league.

The Prem will be like the championship when the setanta deal went belly up. At least Everton will still be the only team remaining in The Prem who can say they’ve never been relegated from it.

They might even snatch a top 4

Gary Neville is 100% spot on. What a fuckin immoral, greedy farse this is, with us in the centre. We deserve every possible punishment for this. If this goes through this club is dead for me.

Lets be honest, some of you are just looking for excuses to stop watching.

How have England got 6 clubs out of the 12, with 2 of those clubs being Arsenal and fucking Spurs?! The rest of the top leagues only have 3 clubs. Surely the top German and French clubs have to be invited (unless they've turned them down)? All sounds like a shite competition with the same cunts playing each other over and over.

"So, New Super League to rival CL, what first attracted you to the massive money-spining English clubs?".

Let me get this straight: fans from clubs like PL strugglers, the Championship and even lower leagues are saying chuck the 6 clubs out of the PL because they want to set up and run a separate European League in place of UEFA's Champions League that they all complain shouldnt include 2nd, 3rd, and 4th placed teams anyway?

Hmmm, isnt that some piece of cock eyed logic?

Wonder if Gary would turn down a job as a pundit in a new league?

Gary is worried he'll be saint and greavsie doing the endsleigh.

I'm not arsed either way.

That said, if this does go ahead, then I will care about the welfare of the likes of Everton as much as they care about ours. The one thing about an elite competition, you don't get yard-dogs with inferiority complexes looking to cause actual bodily harm to world class players just to get the crowd baying. Fuck them.

Carra and Neville do the vanarama Monday night football it's got a nice ring to it. All these pundits are bouncing around broadcasters like whores anyway Carra and Richards were on NBC the other night Neville has been on American channels aswell , BT sport's presenters do BBC and vice versa.

There’s a delicious irony in Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United player Gar-eh passionately defending the game against further commodification.

For what it’s worth, I’d rather we stick with what we have now with FFP properly and strictly enforced. Not very likely though, is it?

Playing Real or Bayern in the Champions League is a big deal, because you've earned the right to be there. Playing them week-in week-out would be dull as fuck.

It’d be shite. But they don’t care about fans do they? NBA, IPL, NFL.

The FA, UEFA and FIFA have ran the game forever. They have presided over a country winning the PL for 3 of the last 4 years, for a country qualifying for the CL final for 2 years running and for the world cup being held in an oven built on top of dead people. Fuck them and fuck all their hypocritical statements.

Some of the responses to this are so melodramatic. This is professional sport, it's a money-making venture. Do people think the governing bodies and clubs have any kind of integrity? They let Arabic royal families of oppressive regimes and Russian gangsters buy clubs, man. Get over yourselves. This is nothing compared to that, yet people are acting like this would be the last straw or something. Just stop watching then.

Anyone who thinks that winding up Everton and annoying Gary Neville outweighs losing the atmosphere of going to away games and having away fans at our place just doesn’t get the whole fucking point of being a fan.

Haven't really looked into this , but this isn't the end of  English top flight footy as far as I can see , unless they're actually banned ?

You’re one of the best posters on here, but that last sentence makes me wonder of you grasp what football and this club means to a lot of people. Just stop watching? Are you being serious?

Speaking of which, I presume catshits thesis of immorality will be in the middle of being furiously typed as we speak.

I mean, it would massively devalue English footie as a whole, obviously.

There would presumably be some sort of competition still going, maybe even using the "Premier League" brand. But if you can watch Leicester v West Ham for the "Premier League title" or watch Liverpool vs. Juventus for the Super League title, you're not picking the former, are you?

And they'd have to hold a separate competition that the Big Six wouldn't be included in. It's not like they could just let us and the other 5 clubs come in for 20 games or less a season and call that the league. They'd have to have their own league, without those six clubs, and then maybe we could still be in an English cup competition of some kind with other English clubs.
