I like that decor, quality that. I’m now looking forlornly at my 4 year old peeling feature wall and bog standard fireplace.

Not mine mate!

Have Bayern ever not qualified for the Champions League? It is almost over 20 years consecutive qualification for a few teams.

They weren't in it in 2007/08 having finished 4th the previous year. Their response was to sign Ribery, Toni and Klose plus a few up-and-coming youngsters who were regarded as key players at their previous Bundesliga club. They dominated the domestic scene once more, and reached the UEFA Cup semis. Since the CL allowed more than just the champions of each country, that's the only time Bayern haven't been in it.

By the way, this is sports lawyer Aleksander Ceferin, who is also the same Aleksander Ceferin who served in the army for the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Yeah, how can these multi billion pound organisations NOT be bowled over by the professionalism and intellect of this man....

The only way this might not be the case is if they organised, together (from all 12 clubs), and all stopped going to games. People would soon get sick of the "product" if it was just 50,000 people taking photos all game.

However, I couldn't see that happening. Enough will still go, and just grumble a bit while ensuring that the thing they're grumbling about continues.

I'm sure they've done all the market research and know most of the international, younger and newer fans will be on board/won't give a fuck.

What protesting would do or accomplish, who knows.

A few questions, just out of interest;

Does anyone know the reaction of Madrid fans to this  ? If any team is associated with the European cup it is them.

I know PSG don't need the money but any thoughts of the fans of PSG on them being left behind ?

Same with Bayern being left behind ?

One argument, which has been put forward for Chelsea and City being "pressured" into joining was the fear of being left behind Seeing as these cunts, like PSG, don't need the money, I would imagine Bayern need it more.

As I said just general questions out of interest, as I am not sure what to think of this as I have felt it is/was inevitable for a long time and am not outraged or shocked by it.

i saw something earlier - not sure if it was ssn or bbc news, but they said it had been in the paper over there that clubs would be starting the competition with the number of wins they have from the EC/CL, so the madrid fans are alright about it.

Surely nobody alive thinks this is a genuine quote.

It's mad how many fans I know from other clubs who say Klopp is shite but get giddy at the thought of him leaving Liverpool.

One of the utd supporters spokesman on before basically said he's against it but let's not forget premier League broke away, Uefa changed the European Cup to the group stage version of the champions League were champions aren't always the winner then said Sky also call the time with silly kickoff times on new year etc. Spoke a bit of sense basically all the organisations jumping on the band wagon are just as bad as the founding 12.

If the ground is never full and this means the product drop in value the simple solution for these cunts at some stage will be to move the games to a different stadium, in a different city or country.

It’s a fucking stupid idea based on already extremely/obscenely wealthy cunts wanting to fuck over the entire football pyramid to make even more money that’ll never even be spent in their great, great grandchildren’s lives.

However - listening to the likes of Gary Neville crow on about it being ‘criminal’ when he happily takes his dollar from Murdoch, the Barclay brothers and the fucking hate mail takes the piss.

When Hicks and Gillett were here I had fire in my belly and was busy sending emails and taking part in protests but I just feel apathy now.

Football has been an obsession for me for nearly 40 years and given me some amazing experiences and memories but I'm done. I've loved it less and less with each passing year and this is the final straw for me.

My membership is being cancelled in the Summer and when my ticket credits are gone I know there'll be no way back. It's sad but I've had enough of lining the pockets of greedy cunts to take in a product which is progressing to bland, light entertainment.

Time to go and find something else positive to focus my spare time on.

Sky best get on board whilst they can or Amazon prime and Bein sports will take all the games.

I love the Amazon footy coverage.

He'd change his tune very quickly if there was a suggestion that he'd be asked to be a presenter.

I prefer the new UEFA CL to this ESL proposal but I think there's an over-reaction to the ESL and I think some objectors must not have read all of the available details.

1. It will replace the CL and the Prem is not affected unless someone wants to kick the ESL clubs out.

2. The proposal estimates that far more money will pass down the football pyramid  than currently happens.

3. There were still be 5 available places for other clubs to fight for (probably via some qualifiers) so the likes of Leicester, Everton etc will probably have as much if not more chance of qualifying than they do currently. How many times in the last ten years has a non -ESL club reached the group stages anyway?

4 The non-relegation bit stinks and hopefully will be looked at again if this proposal goes ahead.

Personally I'd like football to go back to how it was in the 80s but I suspect that boat has sailed.
