The fucking lawyers have got their coke dealer on speed dial for this. What a fucking sue-a-thon this is going to be. I still think this goes ahead. This has been in the making for a long time and they surely must have anticipated crazy backlash.

Let’s also not making the mistake of thinking City and Chelsea are good guys, either - it’s obvious now they were playing the rest for that purpose. They have everything to gain by securing an image boost and maintaining the farcical, corrupt status quo.

Well we must be fucking idiots to not see that now! How desperate are FSG for this to happen? It just isn't viable anymore and, the longer they go on with it they are actually taking value off the club. Because we won't be allowed in Europe if they do continue.

The difference is those clubs’ owners spend their dirty money to whitewash the brand of the owners. For our owners, and most of the others I believe, it’s all about using the brand of the club to make money.

Don't understand why the players are making statements outside of an official capacity...it doesn't appear very professional.

Agreed. STFU until the smoke clears. All this hysterical BS is hard to stomach. These badge kissing mercenaries are suddenly the candle holders for the spirit of football.

I don't follow Italian football much these days since it's shite but I had a gander at the Juve forum and I'm amazed that their fans were overwhelmingly FOR the Super League. Bunch of mentalists.

Like the large amount of people on this forum who are for?

Good news that it’s falling apart. The fallout for us is going to be nasty though. At best it’ll be back to the status quo..... and the complacency that everything in the garden was rosy. Tim Sherwood just now:If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well, apart from a near monopoly of domestic trophies achieved through a decade of sports washing, massive spending and cheating, incompetent/biased refereeing, abysmal VAR implementation , rip-off ticket prices and tv subscriptions pricing younger and lower income fans out of the game. Apart from that, it’s wonderful.

Maybe they’re not arsed if the no mark FFP flouting new boys pull out. If the historically strong clubs that earned all their trophies stick together they might cling to this till the bitter end.

If Barça and Juve have jibbed it then it’s doomed. What an utter disaster from a PR point of view. Where do we go from here??

If they really wanted to do it properly they should have got enough non-state-owned clubs on board from enough countries to form two divisions with relegation and promotion. Had in place a sustainable and comprehensive set of rules to avoid oil clubbing, Then en-masse resigned from their domestic leagues and UEFA.
