Golf thread / my new project

My regular playing partner get that occasionally. Not just with chips, but with all of his iron shots. It just comes and goes, he doesn't have a cure for it, he just has to play through it. I've seen him have rounds where its cost him 20 shots at least. It's a horrible thing.

 

Any time I've shanked it has been because of an out to in path, which is usually because my right hand has taken over. Control it with your left arm and you shouldn't ever shank it really.

I think its the scariest thing to happen to a golfer, really gets into your head .

Or even worse you've landed perfectly on the fairway, about to line up and get on the green with your second shot and a warthog decides to burst out the bushes and start running at you. No ta

Had a fiver on Sheffler this week. He's never won on tour but it's going to happen sooner or later. Gonna start betting him every week now until he wins, hopefully it goes better than all those years doing Rob Jones 1st goal.

 

Also stuck a quid on Keith Marshall to be 1st round leader at 90/1, and also Harold Varner at 60/1. Both of those always seem to shoot one really low round that gets them in contention, but they never win. If they shoot that really low round on Thursday then that's a nice little earner.

It's even worse if you go in the water. You try to retrieve your ball and you end up as crocodile shit.
