That Davies must be absolutely shite.

All 3 senior centre halves out.

The lad who is number 4 out.

Still Klopp would rather put a midfielder in there despite said midfielder transforming our midfield back in his normal position and our results suddenly picking up with him back where he should be.

Is phillips injured?

Hamstring injury apparently.

From the offal:

Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota return to the starting line-up for Liverpool’s Premier League clash at Leeds United tonight.

The duo come into the Reds’ XI at Elland Road as Jürgen Klopp elects to make two changes from the team deployed against Real Madrid last Wednesday.

Nathaniel Phillips is absent from the squad due to a minor hamstring issue, while Mohamed Salah is named on the bench.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Kabak, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Mane, Jota, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Keita, Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, Davies, R. Williams, N. Williams.

I bet Klopp will get stick for having a measured opinion and not quitting on the spot.

Not seen what he has said if anything yet...but fully expect it to be about doing his job, focusing on team and game and not wanting to talk about stuff he does not know enough about...focsuing on the now and trying to win.

To be fair he said what needed to be said in the only way he could, he isn’t happy about it, I seriously think he will walk if this farce continues.. he said he hadn’t had a single conversation about it before it was announced

The clubs have been disgraceful saying fuck all bar the statement they all copied onto their websites last night....and in chelsea and our cases leaving their team managers out to dry in front of a rabid media to answer stuff they have no clue on.

He is obviously pissed off with this, and went further than I expected in saying it.

I must have been watching a completely different interview. He gave a very level-headed response where he also shifted a huge amount of responsibility for this development onto UEFA/FIFA enlargement of fixture lists and their greed.

Klopp is just an asset of lower value to the owners compared to this new deal.

UEFA just announced their updates to the CL and how they are going to change to 180 games instead of 94. Everyone is doing the same, shorting on the players and coaches, more games and more tv money and less time for players and coaches to cool down and restitute their bodies meaning more of them will break down. This is a greed grab from both sides, one gets spoken about and they other doesn’t.

They did the same when all the Suarez shit was going on as well.

They are only around if there is something good that they can claim credit for.
