I don't know if he can agree to peace now Putin as it'd look like he'd been beaten.

Can Ukraine actually “win” from this point you think?

If by win you mean reach a negotiated settlement that allows them to determine their own destiny, then yes.

Quite rich given their shithouse behaviour in Zaporizhzhia.

All the drama surrounding that place is a good example of what could happen at Kursk if Ukraine are able to get to it. We can very rarely have any idea of who's causing the problems, it could be Russia doing false flags, it could be Ukraine actually hitting the places or a mixture of both. It still shows how bad those things are anwyhere near warzones though and it could be a good idea if we moved on to something safer to get energy.

So you downgrade from 'is happening because Vladimir said so' to 'it could happen'.

I never said the first thing you quote there, all I did was remember the drama that's surrounded Zaporizhzhia (I fucking loathe having to try and spell that) power plant and figured the same would be due for Kursk if Ukraine arrive there or get close enough.

While you were obsessing over the power plant, Batko Makhno's house and memorial estate were destroyed.

That sucks, same as it does when so many other historical places get destroyed in wars. At the same time I'm glad that it didn't have two old Chernobyl style nuclear reactors running like Kursk power plant does. If it had done things could have been a lot worse.

Seems about their level.

I've said it before but if nukes didn't exist Nato would steamroller Russia in about 10 days, if that. Proper top drawer CNN viewing.

I think the fact no one would benefit from nuclear disaster helps keep things safer.

I've been following this kerfuffle so long I can remember when Russia attacked a nuclear plant on foreign soil, took it over, prevented it's safe shutdown and then made their own troops sick digging around in it.

I've been following it recently since Ukraine got inside Russia, started heading roughly in the direction of Kursk and people started talking about the power plant there. Adding another nuclear power plant to the chaos of this war probably isn't going to help. If Russians will fight over a power plant in a foreign country I think you can bet they'd also fight for one in their own too. And Kursk has Chernobyl style reactors, could be a lot less safe.

I think it’s more the not so subtle implications in the way you talk about it. Makes it seem like suggesting that it’s hard to know, but that it’s Ukraine who are the aggressors in all this

Who says Ukraine are interested in the power plant? Are they anywhere near it? Are they shelling it like Russia did with Za.... ah fuck typing the whole word!

Man, I heard some people saying Ukraine plan to blow it up. I don't know myself but these are just things lots of people are saying.
