Scumbags care more for Navalny than the slaughter of women and children.

Biden announces 500 further sanctions on Russia over Navalny's death.

Biden said that is Putin is not made to ‘pay the price’ for death and destruction, ‘he will keep going’.

THE UNITED STATES and the European Union are piling new sanctions on Russia on the eve of the second anniversary of its invasion of Ukraine and in retaliation for the death of noted Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny last week in an Arctic penal colony.

Russia taking no chances on having the poison revealed this time.

They learned their lesson after they poisoned him last time and then let him be transferred to a German clinic too soon after thinking that there wouldn't be any traces of it left (they were wrong). I'm sure whoever is in charge of his body this time was shown what happened to the person who made that mistake and will be quite eager not to repeat the experience.

One of the key cognitive dissonance areas is uranium extraction in Chad.

Heavy gunfire erupted in Chad’s capital N’Djamena on Wednesday, just hours after announcements of a long-awaited election date in the central African country.

The Chadian government said its security forces pushed back against members of the opposition Socialist Party Without Borders (PSF), who led an attack on state security forces early Wednesday after an altercation with a party member.

Local newspapers reported more gunfire and a possible bombing of the party’s headquarters later on Wednesday. Local authorities said Thursday that “dozens” of people had been wounded or killed. PSF leader Yaya Dillo was among those killed.

Chad has long been in the grip of political tensions arising from shifting allegiances and familial and tribal relations within the political elite. Uncertainty following the death of longtime ruler Idriss Deby in 2021 and the installation of his son Mahamat as leader have escalated the problems.

Germany has been accused of leaking British military secrets to Russia from an unencrypted video call which involved details of British troops on the ground in Ukraine.

Russian media last week published an audio recording of what they said was a meeting of senior German military officials discussing weapons for Ukraine and a potential strike by Kyiv on a bridge in Crimea, as well as British operations.

The alleged leak has raised concerns with the former UK chairman of the Commons Defence Committee commenting the situation is “worrying on a number of levels”.

Should be OK. Can't see any problems further down the track.

It's stupid really as if the corrupt bastards just provided actual help in equipment they'd not be getting 150 bombs dropped on their trenches each day. The sanctions are a load of bollocks too, Russia are still able to get hold of electronics parts from the USA etc.

Interesting part about the German recordings, i.e. Russian recording of Germans and discussion around it seems to hint that Germans are reluctant to send Taurus missiles because it would require sending some personnel to Ukraine, or at least getting them involved in targeting. Which Germans are apparently hinting the British and the French did with Storm Shadow missiles.

In the meantime, four categories of Russian armour losses in the Oryx count have hit combined 8,003.

They list 2,799 tanks, 1,242 armoured fighting vehicles, 3,556 infantry fighting vehicles and 405 armoured personnel carriers destroyed, damaged, captured or abandoned.

You can probably add at least 10 percent to that number, due to a high percentage of vehicles destroyed without reliable visual evidence, after you factored in probable but I'd expect smaller percentage of errors, duplicates and such in the list.

That's one hell of a scrap metal yard.

MOSCOW, March 7 (Reuters) - Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Thursday it prevented an attack on a synagogue in Moscow that was plotted by an Islamic State cell, Russian state news agencies reported.
FSB said that the members of the organization had been planning "to commit a terrorist act against one of the Jewish religious institutions in Moscow", the RIA news agency quoted the report as saying.
The attackers opened fire during the attempted arrest and were "neutralized by return fire", the FSB said.
