Look chump you may be better informed than me but I can guarantee you are not better informed than people like Mark Ames or the people on the ground from Amnesty International, or the UN to name just three. So I suggest you take your condescending tone and stick it where the sun doesn’t fucking shine.

I've read the link thanks. You're the bonzo who instantly dismissed the documentary and informed reaction linked but instantly agreed with a few randon nondescript replies on twitter because it suited your agenda.

It's people such as yourself who fell for the snake Island/red baron propaganda. You're either financially benefiting from the continuation of this war or a gullible fucking idiot. I've a feeling its the former.

Now fuck off and wank over that copy of Vogue.

Meanwhile, in the real world on the ground and while we wait for our favourite aviation analyst to come back from vacation, Yuri Burusov has a story about new anti-air defence rockets being mysteriously used by Ukrainian forces from ground launchers and taking out Russian radars and defence in numbers. It's a new development, apparently never before used. Imagine how much damage it would have caused if 70 percent of HARM rockets didn't end up on the flee market in Nova Shitholinka. Translation FB.

"Defeat of Russian air defense August 5-7: shipments of HARM missiles to Ukraine have become as deadly as HIMARS The Armed Forces of Ukraine used the latest American anti-radiation missiles AGM-88 HARM against Russian radar, the network posted photographs of the debris made in Russian positions."

The Zelinsky’s will be in Hello! soon.

Why shouldn't they be? Where's the rule that says if your country is under attack, you're not allowed to appear in a photoshoot? What a ridiculous confection of a criticism.

I'd like to see them in a B&Q catalogue, in something like this. But both holding phones to their ears to show they're both working hard running the war.

Well considering it comes at roughly the same time as the Amnesty report on civilians being used as human shields (and despite the bots bluster I'd be amazed if Amnesty published that report without it being true) that article could be a propagandist masterstroke from the Zelenskyys. The citizens holed up in them buildings fearing for their lives probably welcomed a nice little bit of light reading.

Zelinsky obviously has a plan to appeal to the Western public by getting his heroic face out there as much as possible to try and ensure that the governments of those countries feel enough pressure / get approval from the public and so continue to support Ukraine with funding and weapons.

Pretty straightforward isn't it?

You mean, as in this video, where he gets secretly filmed saying exactly that to someone fixing the wobbly leg on his desk? Explosive stuff.

I'm not sure posing with your wife in Vogue is necessarily the best way to get approval from a public that has already given billions and is facing a dire economic future in part because of the sanctions policy in support of Ukraine.

It looks crass.

Yeah I would agree. Glastonbury also was a bit off for me.

The thing I find strange about the Amnesty report, well two things:

1. Ukraine are fighting an invading force with superior strength, of course they are going to use some guerilla tactics and hide forces when trying to repel the invasion. That has happened in probably every war ever. It’s obviously shit for the population, but what were Amnesty seriously expecting to happen?

2. What do Amnesty hope to achieve by publishing the report? They may want to highlight it to stop Ukraine using human shields but more likely they’ve just given Russia carte propaganda blanche to kill as many Ukraine civilians as they want. So it will be having the opposite effect.

Low hanging fruit? It may have been an unfortunate timing of a particular combination of being tone deaf and stupid which is not rare with such organizations, they are usually keen to portray themselves as neutral and objective so they would come out with anything to show that. Their response is indicative, that they have published numerous reports criticising Russians, as if they are saying, if you want us to report on Russia, you must allow us to do this.

There are several more pressing issues with the Ukrainians closer to what Amnesty normally does you would expect them to focus on, treatment of POWs, brutal arrests of alleged collaborators or criminals and so on. And you would definitely expect them to be all over the mysterious recent killing of over 50 Ukrainian POWs, demanding access and info from both sides, rather than producing a report which sounds like it is regurgitating Russian talking points.

Or maybe somebody finally activated an asset.

It seems to me like people are happy for Amnesty International to do their job until of course they criticise people they don't want to see criticised then it's a case of pointing the finger at Amnesty International not the facts of the actual report.

Well, it doesn't 'seem' that way - That's exactly how it is.
